There's something very classic about Megan & Liz.

The Michigan-born, Nashville-based twin sisters pen pop anthems that are as infectious as they are inspiring. Currently one of Billboard's "21 under 21: Music's Hottest Minors 2012," the pop duo have resonated with an entire generation of fans via social media. To date, they've racked up over 220 million views on YouTube and won over 1 million YouTube subscribers. Megan & Liz have charted multiple times on Billboard's Top 50 Social chart and often trend worldwide on Twitter, a testament to their impassioned social media power.

However, the duo's songwriting and performing talents are elevating them far beyond the digital realm. Following their performance in the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, their new "Bad for Me" EP, topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart. The EP features 6 new songs as well as the hit single, "Bad For Me," which the New York Times describes as "refreshingly pure pop." The song, written with Boys Like Girls front man Martin Johnson, was featured in Macy's national Back to School campaign and rapidly rising up the pop charts. As winners of the Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Start contest, Megan & Liz performed at the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival alongside some of the biggest artists in music today.

Megan & Liz always knew that they wanted to make music. Inspired by Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as well as Disney films like "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast," the girls would film themselves singing original songs at ten-years-old.

"We'd record ourselves on the family video camera and tell our mom she had to send it to a record label," recalls Megan with a smile. "When YouTube came along, we thought it would be the perfect platform to get our music out there." YouTube gave them a launch pad, but they utilized the site's capabilities to the fullest in a grassroots manner. In 2007, Megan & Liz uploaded their first video of the original song, "This Note," and they began turning heads. They would add a new video weekly, take requests for cover songs and communicate with every single viewer who contacted them. As a result of building that connection with the audience, their presence grew organically into an online phenomenon.

Liz elaborates, "We share everything with our fans, and the music does too. We pride ourselves on having an incredible relationship with the people who listen to the songs. We've known some of these fans since the very first video. We try to make relatable and honest music for ourselves and for them."

Ultimately, Megan & Liz have even more in store for that fan base they're so close with. The girls concur, "We want fans to feel like we're friends with them. We love what we do and we're thankful for everybody who's helped us get here. We want the fans to feel like our music is theirs."

With over 500,000 singles sold worldwide, Megan & Liz are quickly taking the pop scene by storm and 2013 is sure to be an explosive year for the pop duo.
