View Full Version : "SOLD OUT" shows?

How often is the shows link updated on goldenvoice.com? sometimes I try see "SOLD OUT" on the site, but then it will change back, sometimes shows have already sold out, but isn't updated on the site. If GV is the promoter, i would think they stay pretty close to this.
if additional tix open up, do they usually open up like the day of? i'm tired of going to sold out shows and trying to get a scalped ticket. i've (almost) always been lucky and been hooked up by fellow fans but any ticket strategies would be most appreciated

they do stay pretty close to the ticket counts and try to enable the "buy tickets" link if additional tickets do become available.
and if there will be some tickets at the door the night of a show, that is usually referenced on the website as "tickets at the door".

a know that a lot of the shows that have been "sold out" haven't really been. or they issue more tickets. there's been about 4 shows in the past 2 months that have been "sold out" and i go to buy tickets and they still have some. just keep trying.

it varies, because they do sometimes release more tickets randomly tho.

When tickets are released, it's usually due to tickets that were put on hold by the label or band or manager that they don't need the full amount. So they get let go. We never know if they will let any go or use them all until closer to the show date.

i appreciate the replies from everyone. maybe i'll get to see the YYYs next week at the Mayan if more of these myterious tickets open up.

Did you see the YYY's?? My friends and I tried to score free tix outside. We managed to get 2 free tix but we had 3 people, bummer. They sounded awesome from outside thou!!

unfortunately didn't make it in to see YYYs. hopefully they'll release another live DVD, the Rockers to Swallow DVD was on rotation in my room for quite a while. Can't keep my eyes off Karen O whenever she's onstage.

It's always hit and miss, from what I gather. Sometimes calling the venue will get you some help.
