I think that there are likely to be many valid opinions about the lineup, the crowds, the security, the camping, etc. But if there is one over riding fact out there that everyone should be able to agree upon it is this: The bathroom situation at this festival was shameful. Positively disgusting. In years past there have been many more nice, clean air conditioned bathrooms with running water and soap and sanitizer and even more porta potties. This year was a disgrace. I don't know how much money they think they saved by being cheap on the bathrooms, but as a three year attendee, I can tell you that my money will be staying away from this festival until I am assured there will be CLEAN bathrooms, supplied with toilet paper, sanitizer, soap, water, paper towels and attendants to make sure it doesn't run out. And to wait in line for an hour or more to use a filthy porta potty is inexcusable. Glad you had great attendance, sorry you were so greedy that you couldn't provide proper sanitation facilities. I also am reporting you to the city of Indio for health code violations regarding this event. It is just ridiculous.

I do not think that they serviced the portapottys from the weekend before. I agree with you totally. They were out of paper early Sat.

The bathrooms were horrible. There were guys peeing all over the place behind the port a pottys and it was seeping through to the front. You guys really need to get more bathrooms out there next time. I had kids and it was so bad just standing in line to get to one. C'mon guys please get more next year, (If I even go). Is there any way you can control how many beers a person has? There are way too many drunk people and it is pretty scary trying to get around all the blocked off areas. It seems like each year it gets worse trying to get around that place. Not sure I will attend for a 4th year! Just some constructive criticism. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bathrooms were down right disgusting and certainly had to be a health code violation. We took my three year old niece to the bathroom and the floor was full of urine and paper. It took two of us to help her get her pants down and hold her over the toilet so she could stay clean and safe from germs and filth in there. There was no toilet paper; no seat protectors in the port-a-potties even early on Saturday. The lines were very long and the drunker the people got, the nastier they got. You should be ashamed to of the mess. The port-a-potty areas were just as dirty Sunday morning as they were Saturday night. Glad you took such good care of your VIP people, but the other thousands of people also deserve sanitary restrooms for your event.

On different note, we got there early both days to set up an area for our family to enjoy the concerts at the mane stage. My mom went with us and she is in a wheelchair. In order for to be able to move in out through the crowd easily we set up at the walk way between right behind the VIP area. Security was absolutely pathetic. The crowd this year was too large for the security to do anything useful it seemed. The walk way filled up quickly with drunks filling up the walk way and setting up chairs and blankets between the white lines. The first year security really seemed on top of things but this year, wow, disgraceful! They were too few in number and lacking the skills it takes to manage a large crowd. I heard several under age drinkers bragging about how they were able to use a friends ID to obtain a bracelet and proceeded to get drunk. Security should be able to meet the needs of the crowd. If you sell twice as many tickets you should increase your staff and your restrooms. In our family and group of friends, there are least 50 us that won’t return next year if you cannot handle your crowds and your facilities. If you don’t want it to be family friendly, then make it 18 and over. If you want to encourage a family scene which is the one of the basics of country music, then do something about the girls walking around in shorts that their butts hang out with nothing but stickers on their nipples. Do something about the under age drinking. And quit selling alcohol two hours before the end of the show. Can you imagine how many drunk drivers you people put on the road this weekend? I am going to also file a complaint with the health department and I am going to push for maximum capacity, you couldn’t walk there were almost no places of open area at all people were sitting all the way up to the main entrance where the little is when you walk in. Pushing the wheelchair through the crowd was not easy.

Just thought that I would add to the blog. The security at the festival absolutely was horrible and guess what they were VOLUNTEERS no wonder they didn't do anything when people were being assualted and nothing was being done about it. A young lady was being beaten by a man and 3 security guards just stood around they were more interested in the concert they got to see for free and all they had to do is wear a yellow STAFF PRO shirt isn't it funny that Goldenvoice makes so muich money and they can't even hire appropriate security some of those STAFF PRO VOLUNTEERS were like 16 yrs old. YEAH THEY WERE REALLY GOING TO KEEP THE PEACE. Paul Tollette ha nerve to talk about Stagecoach like it's a family enviroment. I am sure that the Health Department will be so glad to pick up a case like this those bathrooms were disgusting no wonder there were people going behind the barthroom. I will be surprised if you have the same number off people next year...................

I'd love to see pics of all these beatings and drunkeness...i always see them for Coachella, but without the proof, this whole list of complaints probably could've been one angry person just signing up with several names...as a wise man on the coach message board once said "Pics or it didn't happen".

Guess that goes for Jorge's virginity also, unless you have pics it is safe to say you are an ugly person that is incapable to losing his virginity even with all the drunkenness everywhere in the world. Security sucked, toilets sucked and out of 70+ thousand people I am sure that you are out numbered by the truth of the masses. Besides, how do we know that you are not a kiss @ss employee of Goldenvoice trying to save face for the disaster of management this event suffered from?

okay Jorge your an idiot and if you wanted pics you should have been there and you probably would have goten your ass kicked......................get a life who blogs on these type of things anyway unless your stating facts that GOLDENVOICE should take into account when planning events.

i saw lots of pics of the GREAT things that Stagecoach was, all this crap talking isn't amounting to anything other than you feeling better about being so stupid as to be bothered by things that didn't bother TENS OF THOUSANDS of other people that had a great time. so again, pics or STFU, thanks for playing.

a quick scan of the Stagecoach board here:
http://stagecoachfestival.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2
just proves that all these alias' are just a bunch of bellyachers who aren't being listened to over there so are hoping to cause trouble here. you're a bunch of idiots who didn't enjoy yourselves because the festival wasn't catered to you personally. guess what, that's life, get over it.
Also, don't come back if it's not to your liking, the comments I see on the SC board show that the vast majority of people had a great time and when they tell their friends how great it was, they'll be plenty of people there to replace the handful that have never heard the f-word before and want to "protect" their children.
FYI, i'm not a GV employee, just someone that enjoys many of the great events they put on, going on 15 years since i've been going to shows. have they all been perfect, no, of course not, but i don't waste my energy complaining, i choose to not be a miserable person (unlike many of you), so like i said, thanks for playing, hope to not see you at a show ever...esp since i don't want "my ass kicked"...too funny...

Jorge you don't know what you are talking about. If we, the consumer don't tell the event coordinator that there were serious malfunctions in their even, how can they improve it? You said before you had never even heard of stagecoach, then you say you were in the VIP area, you've said country music isn't your thing and neither is stagecoach. So how is it that you are an expert on something you know nothing about and don't even like? Perhaps you should play with yourself since you are the only who appears to like you. Thanks for playing yourself, but next time, just go away.
Here's one of you little quotes
Stagecoach isn't my thing, but $99 for a 2 day pass is a hell of a value. people should be appreciative, but i guess you can't please everybody...

absolutely agree, but there's a way to do it constructively and none of the people here did. All they did was talk crap about how "it should be done" and that they won't be going back, but don't have pics to back it up, nor is it corroborated (sorry if that's a big word...) with the stories seen on the SC board.
You said before you had never even heard of stagecoach, then you say you were in the VIP area, you've said country music isn't your thing and neither is stagecoach. So how is it that you are an expert on something you know nothing about and don't even like?
Please learn how to read. Never said I had never heard of Stagecoach so not sure where you read that. It's impossible not to have known about Stagecoach when it's advertised everywhere and anywhere that every other GV concert is also advertised. I also work at a company where like 75% of the people are country music fans and many of them went to the fest. I'm not an expert and never claimed to be, but just because I wasn't there doesn't mean I can't speak about it. Every year I compare stories about the differences between the festivals with my coworkers who do attend.
Perfect example of where you need to LEARN TO READ. I said there was plenty of TP in the VIP area. Did I say I was there? no I didn't. I'm here with the dissenting (again, sorry for the big words...) POV because I trust the stories my co-workers told me sooner than I'd trust a bellyacher on the internet with nothing better to do than call me names when they have not proven any points.
Perhaps you should play with yourself since you are the only who appears to like you. Thanks for playing yourself, but next time, just go away.
girl please, i own this messageboard, you're the one that needs to go away. It's like my personal notepad, but you amuse me and i don't have any projects due today so that's why i'm responding.

That's right i said that (if you use the "quote" button on the bottom right, it will show correctly), and obviously you're one of the people that it didn't please so if anyone needs to go away, it should be you. like i said before, attendance will be up next year, GV will have an even better fest next year and someday my co-workers will finally convince me to go, thankfully people like you won't be there to ruin my buzz. 3 days of Coachella and 2 days of Stagecoach within 10 days...yikes...

What kinda porta potties are you guys used to??? I hold my breath, open the door and do my business as fast as I can and pray that nothing touched me.
Since this is not your first Stagecoach then you should have known to bring toilet paper and wet naps with you. Not even mentioning Stagecoach...any public bathroom I check for TP BEFORE closing the door.

you should ask the 2010 stagecouch people to have csc security back and not staff pro. you need people who will take care of you. i was so up set with staff pro there. we never had a problem with csc security there. i was at phish an csc was there this year an they did a good job for us.
