I was trying to get people to post in the lounge, seeing how there are like 5 threads and only one of them actually receives new posts. It is my way of saying this board is slow.

I really think the Coachella board is a big siphon. Not that it's a bad thing, since you also run that board, but I am sure a lot of the people at the Coachella board feel like they can talk about just about anything they want over there. It is tough to start up a new board. I do think the contests and what not are a good way to draw more traffic here. Hopefully that will get more people here on a consistent basis. Once you get the regulars, then you have the foundation needed for the board to thrive. But I am sure you are well aware of this!
I think over time, this board will have its own unique approach that differentiates it from the Coachella board.

It seems like already there are some people who post here distinctly more than at the Coachella board. Also it seems like the general music tastes are quite different.

Although I guess maybe it's hard to generalize about a group like this which is fairly diverse.
